  • Cards that give your other permanents a mana ability now count as ramp. Cryptolith Rite ('Creatures you control have "tap: Add one mana of any color"') and Bootleggers' Stash are textbook ramp, but the tagger skipped the quoted granted ability wholesale — a rule that correctly ignores a token's own mana ability (Sifter of Skulls) and a mana ability handed to an opponent's creature by a removal aura (Utopia Vow). Now the phrase 'you control' is the tell: a mana ability granted to permanents you control counts, while token abilities and opponent-facing auras still don't. Deck-health ramp counts update immediately; the tag chips on cards you already own are being brought in line in a follow-up pass. Reported by SaintWacko, who had been hand-tagging these one at a time.
Notes from the Archivist

A quiet false negative is harder to notice than a false positive — nothing looks wrong, a real ramp card just isn't counted — and the tell was that people had started fixing it by hand, one card at a time, without saying anything. The fix hangs on two words: 'you control' is the difference between a mana ability you get to use and one that belongs to a token or an opponent's creature. Reading who the mana is actually for is the whole game.
