  • Newsreader serif as the editorial display face — page headings, taglines, and dashboard stat figures pick up the italic register that signals 'you have arrived at this view'.

  • A whole-app visual reskin to the warm-charcoal Folio aesthetic. The navy palette is gone; the app now reads in warm browns, cream off-white, and antique-gold accents. Montserrat stays as the body and UI face.
  • The PWA chrome and splash screen match the new palette.
Notes from the Archivist

The visual rebrand the v3.28.x cluster was aiming for. Token names stayed constant; only values changed — the same whole-app sweep mechanism the navy reskin used a few releases ago. Mobile widths inherit the new palette automatically; the responsive layout pass that follows tunes the structure to match.
