Chronicle of Changes.

Added1 entry

  • Pasting a card list now resolves cards by name alone — a line like "1 Mizzix of the Izmagnus" with no set or collector number just works, picking the default printing. Add a set in parentheses, e.g. "1 Mizzix of the Izmagnus (C15)", to pin a specific one. It resolves a whole pasted list of names in one batched lookup, so even long lists come back fast.

Refined1 entry

  • When a pasted name can't be found, the message now points at the likely cause — a misspelling, or a card that needs a set + collector to disambiguate — instead of flatly refusing names. A line that already names a specific set and collector still resolves to exactly that printing and is never quietly swapped for a different one.

Resolved1 entry

  • Removed the old "bare card names can't be batch-resolved" wall on the paste importer. Name-only lines used to be rejected with a note to add a set + collector or use the single-card "Import by name" tool; now they resolve directly in the batch import.
Notes from the Archivist

The single-card importer could always find a card by name; the batch importer couldn't, and said so. It turned out the batch lookup could take names all along — we'd just never asked it to. So now a pasted list of plain names lands the same way one careful single card does.
